Sylvie Mangaud born in Paris in 1961 is a French artist whose nudes and animals are her preferred fields of expression. After her studies in graphology and morphology, she quickly became passionate about the image and expression of the body. Her creations are light and full of fineness, capturing their elegance and natural movement. Her sculptures in Daum crystal are delicate and sensual as her new art work “Darling”, full of grace and sensuality.
Female Sculptures
Since 1968, DAUM has collaborated with the greatest artists to sculpt, interpret, imagine, or dream of femininity. From Dali’s Venus de Milo to Marie-Paule Deville Chabrolle’s memories of women, to the lyrical soaring of Lui Li Rong, art has made the woman its muse and transformed into works of art.
The archives of Maison Daum describe the first artistic attempts on the theme of women with Almaric Walter between 1905 and 1912, but the real momentum began in the 1960s. The first collaborations were signed as early as 1968 with Jacqueline Badord’s work Torse, followed by Jean Pierre Demarchi’s Baigneuse. In 1969, La Ronde by Yehuda Neiman; 1972, Nus by Roy Adzak; 1976, Psyché by Claude Abeille, Vénus drapée by Olivier Brice, as well as Paloma by Paloma Picasso in 1972 and Eurydice by Maurice Legendre in 1976. Since then, more than 70 artists have interpreted the woman at Daum, creating infinite sensuality.

DAUM — Masterpieces in Crystal Since 1878
Daum, the legendary French glassmaker, has for over a century collaborated with the greatest artists of its time, transforming their visions into crystal masterpieces. From Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Daum has combined artistic creativity with exceptional craftsmanship. Their secret lies in mastering the art of turning artwork into exquisite crystal sculptures of unmatched beauty.

Every Daum piece is an artistic statement — crystal shaped with unparalleled finesse. Their collections reflect collaborations with renowned artists, giving life to fluid, poetic forms.

Since 1878, Daum has preserved the lost-wax technique in glassmaking. This rare savoir-faire creates richly textured works that are as tactile as they are visual.
