DAUM Maternity by Jon DeCelles
Limited edition of 375 pieces
Jon DeCelles started to sculpt on little stones with a simple steak knife. With a great passion of this art of sculpting visages, the artist decided to take sculpture courses. He received recognition of experts and was rewarded several times for his works. Over the course of twenty years, Decelles’ realistic figures evolved into abstract ones. The artist is not only capable of sculpting monumental pieces weighing over 600 kgs, but also miniature pieces of 2 cm. Maternity, in Daum crystal, was inspired by the birth of his sons, and the softness and comfort that a mother’s arms give to a child. With their eyes closed, they have frozen this moment for eternity. This crystal sculpture in a soft pink shade is full of tenderness and sensuality, and they invite us to the sense of touch, appeasement and contemplation.

Female Sculptures
Since 1968, DAUM has collaborated with the greatest artists to sculpt, interpret, imagine, or dream of femininity. From Venus de Milo as reimagined by Dalí to the feminine memories of Marie-Paule Deville Chabrolle, and the lyrical grace of Lui Li Rong, art has made woman its muse and transformed her into works of art.
The archives of Maison Daum document the first artistic explorations of the feminine theme with Almaric Walter between 1905 and 1912, but the true creative momentum began in the 1960s. The first collaborations were signed in 1968 with Torse by Jacqueline Badord, followed by Baigneuse by Jean Pierre Demarchi. Then came La Ronde by Yehuda Neiman in 1969, Nus by Roy Adzak in 1972, Psyché by Claude Abeille, Draped Venus by Olivier Brice, Paloma by Paloma Picasso in 1972, and Eurydice by Maurice Legendre in 1976.
Since then, more than 70 artists have interpreted the female form through Daum, celebrating its endless sensuality.

DAUM — Masterpieces in Crystal Since 1878
Daum, the legendary French glassmaker, has for over a century collaborated with the greatest artists of its time, transforming their visions into crystal masterpieces. From Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Daum has combined artistic creativity with exceptional craftsmanship. Their secret lies in mastering the art of turning artwork into exquisite crystal sculptures of unmatched beauty.

Every Daum piece is an artistic statement — crystal shaped with unparalleled finesse. Their collections reflect collaborations with renowned artists, giving life to fluid, poetic forms.

Since 1878, Daum has preserved the lost-wax technique in glassmaking. This rare savoir-faire creates richly textured works that are as tactile as they are visual.
